Minnesota Crookston Athletics to Partner with NOCAP as NIL Platform for Student-Athletes

CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston has announced a partnership with NOCAP Sports, a comprehensive open athlete activation platform that will give Golden Eagle student-athletes a marketplace to seek out Name, Image, and Likeness opportunities.

NOCAP Sports, was named a power player in the NIL market by Sports Business Journal. NOCAP Sports is a platform that provides resources for student-athletes to work with brands and enable them to form comprehensive and successful partnerships. Student-athletes can join the platform free of charge, create their profile and become eligible to build their brand. They will also help streamline the compliance process for Minnesota Crookston student-athletes in the reporting process of NIL activities. 

On June 30, 2021, the NCAA Division 1 Board of Directors approved a name, image and likeness (NIL) policy. This new policy allows all NCAA D1, D2 and D3 student-athletes to be compensated for their NIL as of July 1, 2021.
