WhistleStop and The Big West Announce Basketball Partnership

The Big West is proud to announce that WhistleStop will implement its basketball timing solution across the conference beginning with the 2023-24 season.

"The partnership with WhistleStop is another opportunity for The Big West to improve our women’s and men’s basketball enterprise,” Commissioner Dan Butterly said. "After previously testing WhistleStop in all Big West basketball venues, and hearing positive reviews from the recent usage at the NCAA Basketball Academy, WhistleStop has proven to be a tremendous resource toward improving game timing and limiting stoppage of play due to check timing at the instant replay system. We are excited to partner with WhistleStop, and look forward to implementation during the upcoming season.”

Raleigh, North Carolina-based WhistleStop manufactures wearable devices with integrated vibration alerts that all but eliminate false clock stoppages, allowing for consistent, uninterrupted game flow.

“The Big West has a long tradition of excellence in athletics, and WhistleStop could not be prouder to partner with the conference for men's and women's basketball," said Keith Fogleman, President of WhistleStop. "This partnership emphasizes The Big West's commitment to its student-athlete experience by ensuring an efficient, accurate game flow, and to its officials by providing them with the latest in technological tools to manage the game effectively. We look forward to helping The Big West lead the way in collegiate athletics."
