Fairfield Athletics Adds Kelly Bommer ’17, MBA’19 as Associate Director of Athletics for Student-Athlete Services and Administration

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Athletics has hired Kelly Bommer '17, MBA'19 as Associate Director of Athletics for Student-Athlete Services and Administration. Bommer, who holds two degrees from Fairfield, most recently served on the athletics staff at Gannon University.
 
Bommer's duties at Fairfield will include oversight of compliance, academics and student-athlete services. She will also serve as sport supervisor for select varsity programs. Bommer was a graduate assistant at Fairfield in 2018-19 with a focus on academic success and event management. As an undergraduate, she was team manager for Fairfield Women's Soccer.

"We are proud of her as an alumna for her professional growth and achievement in athletics administration over the last four years at Gannon. She brings a relentless work ethic, enthusiasm and a unique perspective to this new role that will be critical in the growth and success of our Stags student-athletes."
 
Before returning to her alma mater, Bommer was the Assistant Director of Athletics for Business and Special Projects at Gannon, with duties including event management, ticketing, purchasing and the planning and execution of special events such as the department's annual golf outing and hall of fame ceremony. Bommer previously served as Assistant Compliance and Academics Coordinator at Gannon.
 
Bommer earned a B.S. in Management from Fairfield's Dolan School of Business in 2017 and received a Master's of Business Administration from Fairfield in 2019. She will complete a Doctorate in Organizational Learning and Leadership from Gannon later this month.
