Rams Hire Tyler Collins as Director of Esports

Minneapolis, MN – North Central University (NCU) has announced the hiring of Tyler Collins as its new Director of Esports. From 2022 until now, Collins has served in a part-time role as a co-director of esports at NCU. He has since taken on a full-time director position as of this past June.

Collins will oversee the development and performance of NCU's five esports teams: Fortnite, League of Legends, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros, and Valorant. Additionally, Tyler will manage day to day operations of the esports program, develop and maintain relationships with NCU Esports partners, and provide leadership to individual team coaches and captains.

Previous to joining NCU Esports in August of 2022, Collins worked at St. Louis Park High School, where he coached the school's Valorant Esports team. During his time at St. Louis Park, the Valorant program took 2nd and 4th in two state tournament appearances involving over 30 teams.

Tyler Collins attended North Central University, graduating in 2018 with a double major in Pastoral Studies and American Sign Language/English Interpreting.

On his new position, Collins has stated: "North Central University has always been a place focused on developing leaders whose hearts are set on serving God. I'm excited and humbled to be a part of that legacy as North Central chooses to invest in developing leaders to make a godly impact in a new and rapidly growing landscape."
