Ashlynn Nuckols begins her 12th season with the Norwich University women's volleyball program in 2023. Hired as only the second women's volleyball coach in school history, Nuckols has racked up 93 overall coaching victories spanning eight seasons in Northfield.

In her first season as head coach at Norwich, Nuckols and the Cadets finished the 2012 campaign with 10 victories against a highly-competitive schedule, taking on several programs from upstate New York and across several conferences. The 2019 team set 17 program records while making a run to the conference playoff.  Most recently, she enjoyed her most successful season to date en route to a 15-9 season in 2022 and qualifying for the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) post-season for the fourth time in her career ('13, '14, '19, '22). 2022.

Under the tutelage of Nuckols, Sarah Farnum '23 was named to the GNAC All-Conference Second Team as a freshman in 2019 while Kelsey Mancini '15 earned GNAC Third Team All-League honors following her outstanding senior campaign in 2014. Furthermore, her student-athletes have earned 26 placements on the GNAC All-Academic Team, a list that honors athletes that have accumulated a 3.25 cumulative grade-point average.

Nuckols joined the Cadets from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y. where she served as the top assistant for the women's volleyball program. She helped the team to an impressive 29-9 record in 2011, qualifying for the NCAA Division III women's volleyball tournament that was hosted by the Golden Knights.

A 2009 graduate of Davis & Elkins College, Nuckols has also served stints as an assistant at Austin Peay State and Shenandoah. As a student-athlete, she was a two-time All-West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honoree and went on to graduate as a dual major in Physical Education and Sports Management. She would later receive a master's degree in Health and Human Performance at Austin Peay State. Nuckols also holds a master's degree in Business Administration from Norwich University.Â
