COLUMBIA, S.C. - Allen University Director of Athletics Jasher Cox has announced the creation and establishment of the Allen University Athletic Commission on Wednesday, August 2. The purpose of AUAC is to help shape the fan experience within AU athletics and its events.Â
"We are elated to implement this initiative that will better enable our campus community, fan base and students to provide meaningful feedback regarding their game day experiences," said Cox. "Our goal with the commission is to create a new dialogue that provides real time feedback and suggestions to improve the game day experiences for all of our sporting events whenever necessary."
The AU Athletics Commission will be comprised of supporters within the community, season ticket holders and members of the University's student body. The committee will be able to provide feedback and communicate their own experiences and suggestions for athletic events directly to athletic staff members.
The group will focus on enhancing all aspects of AU's "Fan Gameday" and year-round experience. Areas of influence may include ticket sales, tailgating experience, facilities, parking, fan communications, concessions, and themed nights. The first meeting of the commission will take place on Monday, Aug. 21.
