Florida Tech AD Jamie Joss Named Chair of NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Committee

MELBOURNE, Fla.- Florida Tech Director of Athletics Jamie Joss has been elected chairperson of the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Committee for the 2023 season.
 
Joss, who has been a member of the national committee since September 2022, will head up the eight-person group, representing the four Super Regions of Division II men's soccer.
 
"I am humbled and honored to be appointed as the chair of the NCAA D2 Men's Soccer National Committee," said Joss. "I am committed to leading this esteemed committee with integrity, fairness, and a passion for the sport. Together, we will work diligently to ensure a competitive selection process, uphold the highest standards of the NCAA, and contribute to the growth and success of D2 men's soccer. I am excited for the opportunity to serve and make a positive impact on the sport at the national level."
 
In addition to serving as the national committee chair, Joss will serve as chair of the Super Region 2 Regional Advisory Committee, which conducts rankings and recommends selections to the NCAA Tournament each fall for the region.
 
The national committee is comprised of eight representatives of the four Super Regions of Division II men's soccer.
 
The representatives play a crucial role in the NCAA Tournament selection process as well as in determining the regional and national rankings throughout the season. In addition, they are responsible for conducting the Division II Men's Soccer National Championship Tournament while also developing the policies and procedures to administer the Championship in an orderly and efficient manner.
 
The role of the regional advisory committee is to assist the national committee in the evaluation of teams throughout the season, the evaluation of potential regional sites, and the recommendation for the championship.
