Justin Kumpulanian Named Head Men’s Golf Coach

Justin Kumpulanian has been hired as the head men's golf coach.
Middlebury has announced that Justin Kumpulanian has been hired as head men's golf coach. Kumpulanian brings years of coaching and managerial experience to Middlebury, most recently serving as an assistant coach for the Williams College men's golf team and a lead assistant golf professional at Taconic Golf Club.
 

"On behalf of Middlebury Athletics, I am excited to welcome Justin to our department and we look forward to him leading our men's golf program," said Director of Athletics Erin Quinn '86. "Justin has demonstrated a knowledge and passion for the sport of golf and is a gifted teacher of the sport. His enthusiasm for teaching and for the opportunity to lead a program was infectious and the search committee and I look forward to welcoming him as a valued colleague in Middlebury Athletics."


In addition to his time at Williams, Kumpulanian worked as the director of golf instruction at Norad Golf Academy since 2021 and has also held positions at the Country Club of Wilbraham and Hickory Ridge Golf Club from 2015 through 2020.

 

"I am honored and excited to join the wonderful Middlebury community," said Kumpulanian. "I look forward to building upon the strong traditions of the golf program, while helping to create an atmosphere of positive personal growth for Middlebury's students."


Kumpulanian will officially begin his time at Middlebury on January 8, 2024. Head women's golf coach Tim Walko will serve in the head coaching capacity until that date.
