Jacob Ragsdell Named New Head Coach of Truman State Swimming

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Jacob Ragsdell has been named the next head coach for Truman State men's and women's Swimming. Ragsdell previously coached with the Columbia Swim Club from 2017-2018 where he worked to achieve best times at the end of the season and taught stroke technique, endurance, and anaerobic capabilities. Jacob swam at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark. from 2016-2021 and was an All-American at Hickman High School in Columbia, Mo.

"I am very excited to be the Head Swim Coach for the Truman State swim team," said Ragsdell. "I look forward to working with a group of talented student athletes. The men and women's swim team at Truman has had a great history of success and I look forward to being a part of the team." 

"We are excited for Jacob to join the Truman State community and lead our swimming program," said Truman State Director of Athletics Jerry Wollmering. "He and his family have been involved in the sport of swimming for many years at the club and collegiate level and his passion for the sport was very evident during his interview process.  We look forward to his energy and commitment to Truman State swimming."

Ragsdell found success at Ouachita Baptist under then and current Head Coach Steven Bostick, winning backstroke events at several meets.
