STEVENS POINT, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point director of athletics Brad Duckworth has named Jordan Kayser as the inaugural men's soccer coach. Kayser takes over the men's soccer program slated to begin play in the fall of 2024.

"I couldn't be more excited to bring men's soccer into the mix at UWSP," said Duckworth. "To start such a high-profile program required the hiring of a coach who can make an immediate impact.  Jordan checked off all the boxes we were looking for.  Jordan has a long history of successes as a coach and a player.   It was clear from our first meeting; Jordan will be a great addition to our staff and work tirelessly to help UWSP soccer be the championship experience our student-athletes expect."

Kayser comes to UWSP after spending the 2022 season as an assistant coach for both men's and women's soccer at Loras College. He was named to the American Rivers Conference Coaching Staff of the Year for both men's and women's soccer and helped both teams win the ARC regular season title.

He helped the Duhawks men's team reach the ARC tournament title game. On the women's side, he helped Loras record an 18-1-3 record, reaching the third round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to eventual national runner-up CWRU. He coached three All-Americans on the women's side and an all-region selection for the men.

"My family and I are very excited to join the Stevens Point community," said Kayser. "I would like to thank Brad Duckworth and the search committee for trusting and believing in me to build this program from the ground up. Finally, I would like to thank all the mentors in my life at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and Loras College who have helped mold the coach I am today."

Prior to arriving at Loras, Kayser was the Director of Coaching for the Elkhorn Rush Soccer Club from 2018 to 2021. He also served as the head coach for the Elkhorn Area High School boys' team from 2019 to 2021.

Kayser was an assistant on the men's team at UWW from 2016 to 2019, helping the Warhawks to an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2019. While at UWW, the men's team went 38-16-7.

He played soccer for UWW from 2012 to 2016, leading the Warhawks to three-straight NCAA Tournament appearances in 2014, 2015 and 2016.  In his senior season in 2016, Kayser was named First Team All-State as well as Midfielder of the Year after scoring three goals with two assists as the Warhawks went 14-5-3 in the season. In his collegiate playing career, Kayser netted nine goals with four assists in 67 career appearances.

Kayser earned his bachelor's degree in kinesiology and recreation and his master's degrees in athletic administration from UWW. He also has a Master Coach and Soccer Leadership Certificate from United Soccer Coaches and a UEFA B license.
