Eagles Strengthen Partnership With INFLCR With Winthrop Eagle Exchange

Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop University and INFLCR are strengthening its partnership that will allow student-athletes to improve their brands on social media in pursuit of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities.

Winthrop Eagle Exchange is an easily navigated platform that provides a free service to student-athletes and third parties in the form of a customized portal. Companies, donors, fans, or alumni can register for The Winthrop Eagle Exchange, search a database of Winthrop student-athletes and contact them directly to pursue NIL opportunities. These opportunities include (but not limited to) social media endorsement, public appearances, or autograph signings.

Once an NIL agreement is reached, a customized reporting form compliant with the South Carolina law and Winthrop Athletics Name, Image, and Likeness guidelines is created and forwarded to Winthrop University. The platform also includes a payment processing tool to securely pay athletes and will be consolidated into a 1099 form that lives in the athlete's INFLCR app for more efficient tax reporting.

Jim Cavale – INFLCR Founder
"We are thrilled to partner with Winthrop Athletics to support their student-athletes by providing a fee-free platform for them to monetize their personal brands with NIL. The launch of the Winthrop Eagle Exchange will create powerful connections between student-athletes and their local community, leading to partnerships and NIL deals."

Mark Prosser – Winthrop Head Men's Basketball Coach
"We are thrilled to announce our relationship with INFLCR. We have wonderful kids, not just in our Men's basketball program, but throughout this entire athletic department. This partnership will allow these student athletes to show what tremendous ambassadors they are, not just for our great University, but for companies across the globe. They will be able to do so with training and guidance to ensure compliance with regulations within and outside the NCAA. Our players are now open for business and folks would be fortunate to have them on their payroll!"

Chuck Rey – Winthrop Athletic Director
"The collegiate NIL landscape has an overshadowed altruistic opportunity for entrepreneurial spirited student-athletes to enable them to effectively market their brand. At Winthrop Athletics, we are excited to partner with INFLCR to provide a pathway for student-athletes to partner with local businesses and national companies to cultivate their brand and develop a business model for their time at Winthrop University. It's an incredible incubator to start their own business or enhance their resumes for post-graduation positions; while also being a great vehicle to teach life lessons to student-athletes while in college and throughout their lives."
