Brandon Amster Hired as Esports Head Coach

IMMACULATA, Pa.- Paul Murphy, Immaculata University Director of Athletics and Recreation announced the hiring of Brandon Amster as eSports Head Coach.

"I am excited to see the impact that Brandon's passion and knowledge in the eSports Arena has on our program" stated Paul Murphy. "Brandon showed a clear vision for growth throughout the interview process, and we look forward to the continued expansion of our eSports program. His energy will inspire our student-athletes to become the best they can be, and no doubt raise our teams to new heights."

Amster comes to Immaculata having recently graduating from Temple University with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education English. He completed an associate degree from Montgomery County Community College in Computer Networking with a Cyber Security Concentration in 2019. He most recently served as a substitute 10th grade English teacher in the Spring-Ford Area School District in May and June.

"I would like to thank Paul Murphy and the athletics department for giving me the opportunity to lead the eSports program" said Amster of his opportunity to be the program's next head coach. "My goal is to build a successful program for our student athletes to transition from Immaculata to the current established eSports organizations. This will be achieved by gaining success throughout the various games, which can be used to build relationships. Students can use these opportunities after graduation and will set the standard for collegiate level eSports."

Amster has competed in eSports and is knowledgeable in Overwatch, Rocket League, Smash Brothers, and League of Legends.
