WILSON, N.C. – The Barton College Division of Athletics has named Ciara Burud its new Head Women's Lacrosse Coach.
Burud served as an Assistant Coach the past two springs (2022-23) at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Va., leading a pair of players to All-ODAC honors.
Burud was also an assistant coach for Mount Saint Mary College (Newburgh, N.Y.) and Red Hook High School (Red Hook, N.Y.) in 2021 and served as a club coach for the Dutchess Monarchs Lacrosse Program in LaGrange, N.Y.

Burud, a 2020 graduate of the University of Findlay (Ohio), was a five-year letter winner on the Oilers' women's lacrosse team. Burud earned All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference First-Team honors three times and was an All-Midwest Region selection in 2019. For her collegiate career, Burud totaled 199 goals, 66 assists, 265 points, 184 ground balls, 195 draw controls and 109 caused turnovers.
Academically, Burud was a three-time Academic All-Conference selection, a two-time Findlay Coca-Cola Scholar-Athlete Award honoree and was named to the IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll. Burud earned her master's degree from Findlay in 2021.
