West Liberty, W.Va. – West Liberty University and Athletic Director Lynn Ullom has announced that Cassie Seth will assume the role of Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) within the WLU Athletics Department.

"We are tremendously excited for Coach Seth to step into this very important role," stated Ullom. "As our Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee (ADID) she went above and beyond with those responsibilities and proved that she is more than qualified for this position. Cassie will put tons of energy and passion into this role and will be a great benefit to our student-athletes and university."

Seth is entering her fourth season as the associate head women's basketball coach and seventh overall on head coach Kyle Cooper's staff. During her time on the hilltop, she has also assumed the role of the Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee (ADID) for the athletics department, serving as the primary contact and conduit for sharing diversity and inclusion-related information from the NCAA and Mountain East Conference with the university's nearly 500 student-athletes.

As the newly appointed SWA, Seth will serve as a visible presence as a female role model on the WLU athletics administration staff, allowing her to be a diverse point of contact for the student-athletes and staff to voice issues or concerns. "I am honored to serve as the new Senior Woman Administrator for Hilltopper Athletics," stated Seth. "I look forward to continuing to support and advocate for our student-athletes within this role while supporting our growth and success as an athletic department."

Beginning in 1981 when the NCAA added women's championships, the NCAA membership voted to create the SWA position to ensure women were involved in the administration of college athletics. The SWA role is the highest-ranking female in each NCAA athletic department or conference office and is designated to promote the meaningful representation of women in the leadership and management of college sports.
