Birmingham-Southern basketball player Colin Glover dies at 21

Colin Glover, a sophomore basketball player at Birmingham-Southern College, has died, according to a Facebook post from the school Friday. Glover was 21 years old.

There have been no details released on the cause of death.

On the post to social media, the school released a joint statement from Athletic Director Kyndall Waters and men’s basketball coach Chris Graves.

"Colin was a tremendous student, a hard-working athlete, and exceptional teammate," the post stated. "We are praying for his family, including his twin brother Cam, who is also a member of the BSC men's basketball team. We pray for peace and comfort for the Glover family, BSC men's basketball, and all those that Colin impacted."

The men's basketball team canceled its home game against Maryville College which was scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 18. The school's women's basketball team canceled its game Saturday.

Glover was in his second season with the Panthers, appearing in 29 games across two seasons. He was a graduate of Hewitt-Trussville High School.
