CWRU Athletics Launches New Website with SIDEARM Sports

The Case Western Reserve University Department of Athletics and Physical Education is excited to announce the launch of a newly redesigned website and mobile application in partnership with SIDEARM Sports. The new website launched on Thursday, June 29, with the app launching later in the summer.

"We are thrilled to partner with Case Western Reserve University," said SIDEARM Sports President and Founder Jeff Rubin. "Our new partnership will give Case Western Reserve the tools to deliver a best-in-class digital experience for Spartan fans everywhere."

The new bolder and brighter design at the same URL (athletics.case.edu) is optimized for use on all platforms ranging from the largest desktops to the smallest phones. The front page features a social media feed from the CWRU Athletics Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube accounts, as well as a link to the new Points of Pride page where Spartan fans can review CWRU national champions, All-Americans, national academic honorees, the Spartan Club Hall of Fame, and Department Award winners.

"Our new partnership with SIDEARM comes at the perfect time," said CWRU James C. Wyant Director of Athletics TJ Shelton. "Coming off the most successful year in the history of athletics at the University, and on the heels of the University's bolder and brighter rebranding, the newly designed website will give our athletes, alumni, parents, fans, recreational users, and other constituents an enhanced experience to follow their favorite CWRU teams and players."

In addition, fans will have easy access to links for live stats and video for home Spartan athletic contests throughout the year with the new Quick Links feature. Fans and visitors will also have quick access to information about the Case Western Reserve athletic facilities.

The composite schedule for all sports contests has moved from the bottom of the screen to the top, with a sleeker design and easy access to links related to each contest. Fans will also notice a new interface for live stats during Spartan home baseball, basketball, football, soccer, and volleyball games and matches with SIDEARM Stats.

Photos will also be more accessible on the new website with future galleries being accessible and fans able to search for specific teams, games, and players.

"We are thrilled to unveil our new website in partnership with SIDEARM," said Jon Schwartz, the CWRU Associate Athletic Director for Communications and Media Relations. "While our fans will love the new look of the site, we believe they will enjoy it even more as they explore it to discover its increased accessibility, ease of use, and functionality. The enhancement of athletics.case.edu will allow us to better share the stories and achievements of our incredible athletes at CWRU."

Operating in the LEARFIELD portfolio of companies since June 2014, SIDEARM Sports is the nation's leading digital provider for college athletics.
