Phoenixville, PA - On Tuesday June 13th University of Valley Forge Athletic Director, Gretchen Levan, announced that Cassandra Taylor will take over as the next Head Coach for the Women's Basketball program. Coach Taylor comes to UVF after most recently serving as the Associate Head Coach at John Jay University in New York City. Coach Taylor helped oversee a John Jay program that has had a winning season each of the past three years. She will now look to bring that consistency to Phoenixville and build on what Coach Gretchen LeVan has done during her time. 

Athletic Director, Gretchen Levan shared: "It is an honor to announce our new Head Women's Basketball Coach, Coach Cassandra Taylor.  She comes to us with 5 years of assistant coaching in the NCAA Division III realm where she oversaw the team defense and climbed the ranks to associate head coach. Throughout the interview process it was evident that Coach Taylor lives out our mission and is ready to take the helm as head coach. We cannot wait to see how God uses her talents at UVF."

Cassandra Taylor will be bringing extensive knowledge with her to UVF on and off the court. Coach Taylor graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in Sociology from John Jay University and also completed a Masters in Athletic Administration and Exercise Science from Concordia University. Before becoming a coach, Taylor was also a player for the John Jay women's program. 

Upon being named the Head Coach of Valley Forge Women's Basketball, Coach Taylor commented: "I am extremely blessed and excited to lead the women's basketball program at the University of Valley Forge. The opportunity to guide young women in Christ not only as athletes but also as people is a mission I stand behind and I cannot wait to get the ball rolling. I know Gretchen has laid the foundation for this program and I am grateful to be a part of it. Let's Go Patriots!"
