Heblich Resigns as Head Women's Soccer Coach

MEMPHIS – Christian Brothers University Director of Athletics Donna Crone has announced the resignation of Kieron Heblich, Head Women's Soccer Coach, on Wednesday, June 21, to pursue another opportunity.

"We are so incredibly thankful for all that Kieron has done during his time at CBU," Crone said. "Our women's soccer program has a storied history, including a national championship, and he has done an amazing job of upholding its high standards on, and off, the field."

Heblich, who is the winningest coach in program history, spent the last 18 seasons leading CBU to a 149-134-24 record, including a trip to the 2013 GSC Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament (2014). Heblich started his career at CBU, as an assistant coach, in 2003.

The Scarborough, England native has coached 40 All-GSC selections, including two Freshmen of the Year and one GSC Player of the Year. Heblich was also the 2013 GSC Co-Coach of the Year. He departs CBU with the second-most wins in league history. Off the pitch, the Lady Bucs routinely had team GPA's over 3.0.

"It's difficult to find words to express my gratitude, to CBU, for so many wonderful years," Heblich said. "I would like to thank all of the amazing players, athletic directors, assistant coaches and support staff that I have had the pleasure of working with. CBU will always have a big place in the hearts of my family, and myself."

"Our search to find a new head women's soccer coach will begin immediately," Crone added. "This position is highly thought of in the coaching community. We look forward to bringing in the right person to lead our program going forward."
