Pitt-Greensburg Welcomes Jeremy Eshleman as New Cross Country Coach

GREENSBURG – It's a new era for Pitt-Greensburg Cross Country with a familiar face coming back into the fold. We are pleased to announce Pitt-Greensburg Alum Jeremy Eshleman ('10) as the new head coach of men's and women's cross country. 

Eshleman, A native of Chambersburg, PA is a graduate of Pitt-Greensburg and has an extensive running background. He ran for the Bobcats from 2005-09 and was named All-Conference one time. He is now a resident of Greensburg and is excited to have the opportunity to lead the Bobcats. 

"I'm excited to have a chance to build a team at Pitt-Greensburg that will grow and improve every season and will be my own chapter in the history of the program," said Eshleman. 

Eshleman, who participated in the Boston Marathon this year, is an avid runner that does not stick to the 26.2-mile limit. He participates in ultra-marathons. Ultra-marathons are any event that is 31 miles or more. Eshleman recently completed the longest running ultra-marathon in the country, the JFK Ultra that is a 50-mile race. He has his sights set on a 100-mile race that will take place in West Virginia in the coming months. 

Eshleman is the owner of his own real estate and property rental business. He and his fiancé, Jennifer, will be getting married in July. 

Pitt-Greensburg Director of Athletics, Jeromy Yetter, is excited to see what Eshleman brings to the department. "We are excited to welcome Jeremy back to Pitt-Greensburg.  Jeremy has a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and pride in Pitt-Greensburg and our cross country programs.  I know that our cross country student-athletes will benefit from his leadership."
