"We are excited to announce Sierra Slack as our next Head Women's Lacrosse Coach." said Scarpello. "Sierra navigated a difficult situation this past year and produced a great season and gained the gratitude and support of her players. We look forward to this new era of women's lacrosse at FDU."

Slack takes over full-time after being named the Interim Head Coach this past January.

During her first season as head coach, she led the Devils to the MAC Freedom semifinals and finished the season with a 9-9 overall record and a 7-1 MAC Freedom record. Sierra also competed in women's lacrosse at Occidental College and was a two-time captain as well as a four-year starter. She was a three-time All-SCIAC First Team selection and earned Second Team honors in 2016. Slack, amassed 283 career points and 204 career goals, which both rank first all-time at
Occidental, was a two-time All-West Region honoree, was named 2015 SCIAC Newcomer of the Year and Class of 2018 Roy Dennis Scholar-Athlete.

"I am beyond excited to be named the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach for the FDU Devils." Slack stated. "I would like to thank Pat Scarpello, Kristin Giotta and the FDU community for their constant support. It is my goal to lead this team to be a consistent championship contender in the MAC Freedom and on the national scene."
