Lynn athletics announces golf coaching changes

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University department of athletics has recently announced a pair of changes to both the Fighting Knight men's and women's golf programs.

Keith Larson has been elevated to head coach of the women's golf program after serving in the interim role during the 2022-23 athletic season for both the men's and women's programs.

Steve LeBrun has been hired to take over the reins of the men's golf program as head coach after working with the team during the spring semester as an assistant coach.

"I am thrilled that Keith and Steve will be serving in these head coaching roles for our Women's and Men's Golf programs," said Interim Athletics Director Kathy Kroupa. "They are outstanding professionals and remarkable leaders. Their focus on student-athlete development creates a culture of excellence on and off the course."

Larson has been part of the coaching staff for both golf programs since 2019, while this past year, he guided the women's team to the NCAA South Region and Sunshine State Conference titles. The Fighting Knights won nine tournaments during the '22-23 season and capped the season with a trip to the NCAA National Championship semifinals. In 2019, Larson helped the men's program to its second-consecutive National Championship.

A native of South Florida, LeBrun helped guide the Fighting Knight men to fourth place at the SSC Championships in late April before finishing in 11th place at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional that featured seven teams ranked inside the top-10.

LeBrun, a graduate of Florida Atlantic University, brings with him a resume that features over 20 years of professional playing experience with stops on both the PGA and Korn Ferry Tours. He accumulated over 90 mini tour wins, along with five top-25 finishes on the PGA Tour and 13 top-10 finishes on the Korn Ferry Tour.
