BOSTON – The America East Conference recently held collaborative and engaging meetings with several of its leadership groups, including the Board of Presidents, Athletic Directors, Senior Woman Administrators and men’s and women’s basketball coaches. Meetings were held June 6-8 in Manchester, Vt. while the Board of Presidents convened June 16 in Boston.
Coming out the meetings, the conference is excited to embark on an initiative to strengthen the conference’s brand positioning and establish a new visual identity. The rebrand work will take place over the next several months with a refreshed brand positioning and visual identity expected in 2024. America East has partnered with Legend Labs, a brand and communications consulting firm with experience in the college athletics space.
“The singular focus of our membership to best position America East to achieve its high ceiling has never been greater,” said America East Commissioner, Brad Walker. “These meetings not only provided the platform for important conversations, but also allowed us to celebrate a great year and our exciting future. Our brand enhancement initiative will properly align the conference and membership’s values and visual identity with who we are.”
The Board of Presidents met with NCAA President Charlie Baker, who provided updates on key association topics. The Board also approved the 2023-24 conference budget and bylaw changes.
