EMILY JOHNSON NAMED NEW WOMEN'S GOLF HEAD COACH

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Emily Johnson has been named Head Coach for Birmingham-Southern College's women's golf team. 

"I'm excited to be the new women's golf coach at BSC. I look forward to helping our student-athletes excel on and off the golf course," said new head coach Emily Johnson.

Johnson comes to the Hilltop with years of golf experience. She spent three years as an assistant golf professional in Central Florida after college. In 1998, she regained her amateur status from the USGA. Ms. Johnson enjoys playing in Alabama Golf Association events each year.

Collegiately, Johnson was part of the Rollins College women's golf team at the DII level from 1990-1993. In her career, she earned Rollins College women's golf's Most Improved Player in 1991, was part of the NGCA DII National Championship team in 1992, and was NGCA Team DII Runner-up in 1993. 

Johnson graduated from Rollins College in 1993 with a B.A. in English and obtained her M.B.A from the University of Alabama in 2007.
