Indianapolis, Ind. - Ahead of the 2023-24 season, the NCAA has announced its appointments for various committees, including third year head coach Marc Danin to the Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee. 

"I am excited to serve on the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee because of my passion for the sport and the desire to contribute to its growth and success," Danin commented. "Specifically, I am intrigued by the opportunity to work with other knowledgeable individuals to develop and implement policies that will benefit student athletes in our division." 

As a member of an NCAA committee, appointees are expected to sustain and advance the Association's mission, traditions, values and reputation, support the consensus of the committee and serve as an advocate for the association and membership, among other things. 

"Serving on this committee can help me advance and grow the sport in my university's athletic department and within our conference championship by providing me with a greater knowledge of rules and regulations that go beyond stroke and events."

Danin's term of service on the committee will begin September 01, 2023, and continue through August 31, 2027

"With a 4-year term ahead of me, my initial goals are to build strong relationships with other committee members, become well versed with the current rules and regulations that govern DII swimming and diving, and establish myself as a voice within the committee."
