Danielle O'Leary Named Associate Athletic Director

RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University Athletics announced today that they have named Danielle O'Leary as the Associate Athletic Director. O'Leary joined the Pacers in the summer of 2022 as the Assistant Athletic Director. She also serves as the Senior Woman Administrator and ADID.

Athletic Director Claude Shields stated, "Upon her arrival to campus - Danielle made an immediate impact on WPU Athletics. She is a true champion of the student-athlete experience and an integral part of our success at 15 E Peace Street. We are thrilled to announce her well-deserved promotion to Associate Director of Athletics!"

O'Leary previously served as the Senior Woman Administrator, SAAC Advisor, and Head Women's Lacrosse Coach at Mount Aloysius College beginning in 2018. Prior to her time at Mount Aloysius, she worked at Hollins University as the Senior Woman Administrator and Head Women's Lacrosse Coach from 2013-2018. O'Leary received a M.S. in Physical Education from Ithaca College in 2011 and a B.A. in Physical Education from New England College in 2010. She has also been a Program Facilitator for NCAA LGBTW OneTeam and a site representative for a NCAA DIII Women's Lacrosse Championship.

O'Leary stated, "I feel fortunate to be part of a community that encourages and celebrates personal and professional growth. To be able to contribute to the success of our student athletes, coaches, and staff has been a very rewarding experience. While there are many people to recognize, I would like to thank Claude Shields for his investment in my career as well as his trust in my leadership. WPU is a special place and I'm excited for the future of Pacer Athletics!"
