Andrew Warsaw Named Associate Athletic Director/Football Chief of Staff

Brings 11 years of collegiate and NFL operations experience to USF
 
TAMPA, DEC. 16, 2022 – University of South Florida Head Coach Alex Golesh has named Andrew Warsaw to the role of associate athletic director/football chief of staff on his first USF football staff.
 
Warsaw, who owns 11 years of collegiate and NFL operations experience, recently completed his third season as the director of football operations at the University of Tennessee (2020-22), where he worked with Golesh for two seasons as part of Josh Heupel's staff. Warsaw managed the football program's budget, coordinated travel and the day-to-day operations of the football building.
 
"Andrew and I worked closely at Tennessee and he has established himself as one of the very best in the business in the internal operations of a football program over the last decade," Golesh said. "I'm so excited and humbled that Andrew has agreed to fill the vital role of chief of staff for USF football and is bringing his tremendous young family to Tampa to help us build the Bulls program."

Prior to his time at Tennessee, Warsaw spent two seasons as the assistant athletic director for football operations at Mississippi State (2018-19), where he managed and balanced the program's annual eight-figure operating budget and coordinated the daily and yearly football schedule.

Warsaw previously served as the NFL's director of game operations from December 2016 to December 2017. The Olney, Maryland, native coordinated team logistics and travel for international games as well as the Super Bowl. Warsaw oversaw all game day policies during the season and was based out of the league's New York headquarters.

Prior to joining the NFL, Warsaw worked as the director of football operations at Purdue (2015-16), operations coordinator at Arizona (2013-15), and served in roles at Fordham (2012-13), the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (2011-12), Penn and Villanova.

A 2009 graduate of West Virginia University, he spent four seasons as a student manager with the Mountaineers, helping to plan and prep for the 2006 Fiesta Bowl and the 2008 Meineke Car Care Bowl.

Warsaw and his wife, Ashley, have three children - Aiden, Landon and Eli.
 
ABOUT USF FOOTBALL
The USF football program first took the field in 1997 and completed its 26th season in 2022 while completing construction on a $22 million Indoor Performance Facility. The Bulls have posted 15 winning seasons and earned 16 All-America selections, including 2021 consensus All-American Brian Battie, while seeing 32 first-team all-conference selections. USF has had 30 players selected in the NFL Draft and has made 10 bowl game appearances (going 6-4 in those games), posting a program-record six straight appearances from 2005-2010 and most recently making four straight bowl appearances from 2015-18. The Bulls posted back-to-back 10-win seasons in 2016 and 2017, logging a program-record 11-2 mark in 2016 while finishing both seasons ranked in the Top 25. USF spent a program-record 20 straight weeks ranked in the Top 25 during the 2016 and 2017 seasons and reached as high as No. 2 in the national rankings during the 2007 season.
