Stroop Assumes Interim Head Softball Coach Duties

ONEONTA, N.Y. – Executive Director of Athletics, John Czarnecki recently appointed current Director of Athletic Communications, Brittany Stroop as the softball program's Interim Head Coach.

Stroop has 17 years of collegiate softball coaching experience including 15 as a Head Coach at three NCAA Division III institutions.  Throughout her career, Stroop has coached multiple All-Conference performers including a Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, and Rookie of the Year.  In 2015 she was named the Freedom Conference Coach of the Year while at Eastern University.

"I'd like to thank Brittany for taking on this role and helping to ensure that the softball program gets off on the right foot," stated Czarnecki.

"The sport of softball has given me so much and I would not be at this point in my career without my experiences as a student-athlete and collegiate coach," remarked Stroop.  "I know it will be a challenge to continue in my role as Director of Athletic Communications while serving as the Interim Head Softball Coach, but it is one that I gladly embrace in order to help establish a solid foundation for the return of the softball program."

Stroop assumed her new duties on July 1.
