KOSLOWSKY NAMED DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS

Mahwah, NJ:  Ramapo College Vice President of Strategic Enrollment, Outreach and Engagement, Dr. Christopher Romano, announced today the hiring of Jan Koslowsky as the college's newest Director of Athletics, Intramurals, and Recreation.

"I'm thrilled to officially welcome Jan as the Director of Athletics, Intramurals and Recreation at Ramapo," Romano stated. "He is a Roadrunner through and through; his passion for athletics and fierce advocacy for the student-athlete coupled with his administrative and budget experience position him well to successfully lead Ramapo Athletics."

Koslowsky has over 22 years of collegiate athletic experience after joining Ramapo College in 2001.  He gained his expertise serving in numerous roles until he was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director in 2016.  His attention as an assistant athletic director included focusing on capital fund management, oversight of all aspects of club sport programs, raising funds through sponsorships and donations and post-season bids.

In 2021, Koslowsky was named Interim Director of Athletics taking over the management of the College's 20 varsity sport teams, eight competitive club programs, and numerous intramural programs.  During his time as interim, he was responsible for the hiring and oversight of full-time and part-time head coaches and staff members.  He managed over 325 student-athletes, created a partnership with the Foundation, implemented athletics' first ever golf outing in June of 2022 that raised over $20,000, and worked with Assistant Athletic Director for Communications, Marketing & Branding to secure the most sponsorships within the department in any given year.

"It's been a pleasure to see his hard work and dedication thus far and can't wait to see what will come next," Romano added.

Koslowsky graduated from Concordia College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration where he was a standout Division II student-athlete on a four-year scholarship as a pitcher with the baseball team.  He went on to earn a Master's in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management from the University of Southern New Hampshire.

"I would like to thank the search committee, Vice President Dr. Christopher Romano, and President Dr. Cindy Jebb for giving me this opportunity," Koslowsky stated.  "As a Roadrunner, I have dedicated my career to being here for our student-athletes while giving them the resources they need in order to be successful!"

Koslowsky added, "Ramapo is my home, and I look forward to working with our staff and students continuing the long history of success, for years to come!"
