Johnson Hired as Assistant Athletic Director for Communications & Marketing

LANGHORNE, PA - Director of Athletics David Babb and the Cairn University Athletic Department are excited to announce the hiring of alum Jarrett Johnson as the Highlanders' next Assistant Athletic Director for Communications & Marketing.

Johnson takes the reigns of the sports information department following Michael Boucher, who served the Athletic Department from 2021-2023.

Johnson graduated from Cairn University with a master's degree in business administration and bachelor's degree in accounting in 2023. During his time at Cairn, Jarrett was a five-year student-athlete in baseball, serving as team captain during his senior season. He also worked for three years in Cairn's game day operations department under Whitney Seidel, as well as two years in its sports information department under Michael Boucher. Most notably, Jarrett served as Director of Cairn's Intramural Program from 2019-2023.

Director of Athletics David Babb remarked on the hire: "The Cairn Athletic Department is excited to have Jarrett Johnson join the team as our Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and Marketing.  He has done an outstanding job in the past directing the intramural program, assisting with game day operations, and contributing game recap articles.  We are thankful for his contributions as a student-athlete and look forward to him highlighting and recognizing our current athletes' achievements!"

When asked about returning to his alma mater to once again serve in the Athletic Department, Jarrett said: "I would like to thank Director of Athletics David Babb, and the Athletic Department Staff for this exciting opportunity. I feel blessed to be able to come back to Cairn University to give back and continue to create an experience for our student-athletes that I cherished during my time as a student-athlete here. I would like to personally thank Mike Boucher for his mentorship through this transition and preparing me during my time as a student-worker under his leadership."
