Kyle Denzel

Kyle Denzel was named Deupty Athletic Director in July 2023. He previously served as general manager of Learfield's Charleston Sports Properties.

An industry leader for more than four decades, Learfield has a deep presence in the college athletics landscape nationwide. It manages the multimedia and sponsorship rights for nearly 130 collegiate institutions, conferences and arenas, and supports athletic departments at all competitive levels as title sponsor of the prestigious Learfield Directors’ Cup.
 
Learfield also provides its collegiate partners access to professional concessions and ticket sales; branding, licensing and trademark consulting; digital and social platform expertise; campus-wide business and sponsorship development; and venue and technology systems through its affiliated companies.
 
“We’re looking forward to working alongside Matt and the entire athletics administration in representing the Cougars in the marketplace,” said Learfield President and CEO Greg Brown. “Our objective is to align with the university and sponsors in a way that ultimately enhances the student-athlete experience.”
 
Denzel joined Learfield as a Vice President in March 2014 with more than 20 years of collegiate, professional and corporate sports marketing and sales experience. During his four years as a regional VP, he provided senior oversight to select collegiate relationships within Learfield’s West Region structure.
 
His extensive sports experience prior to Learfield includes working with the rightsholder teams for the University of Virginia and University of Michigan as well as serving as director of NFL sales for the Tennessee Titans Radio Network in Nashville, Tenn.
 
A graduate of Marquette University, Denzel also was President and Owner of Sports Plus, LLC, a comprehensive sports marketing and sponsorship consultancy. He and his wife, Alicia, have four children and reside on Daniel Island.
