Football Season Tickets And Family Weekend Tickets Sold Out

HARRISONBURG, Va. - With 8,718 tickets claimed, James Madison Athletics has sold out its 2023 allotment of football season tickets.

In addition, the Dukes' Family Weekend matchup against South Alabama on Sept. 30 sold out of public single-game tickets just two days after public single game tickets went on sale.

The previous record for season tickets sold at JMU was 7,708 last year in 2022 - a mark that included sales through the first games of the season, it's first as a member of the Sun Belt Conference.

The new season ticket total extends JMU's already-announced record number of ticket sales (8,125), eclipsing last season's mark by more than 1,000 season tickets.

After season ticket sales were put on hold following the May 15 priority deadline, sales were reopened on Wednesday, June 28. Between upgrades during the selection process and the accompanying on-sale, an additional 593 season tickets were purchased.

Public single game ticket sales opened on Wednesday, July 5. Student tickets, including incoming first-year students, will be made available 12 days prior to each home game. Members of the Student Duke Club receive one day of advance access to each game before the rest of the JMU student body.

After evaluation of visiting team tickets, student tickets and group tickets, an additional limited number of single game tickets may be released the week of the corresponding game, but are not guaranteed for public availability.

While single game parking passes are sold out for both Family Weekend (Sept. 30) and Homecoming (Oct. 28), single game parking for other home games is still available in Lot D2/C10. Spots and availability will be allocated based on purchase date for Duke Club members - fans can still join the Duke Club by visiting JMUDukeClub.com.

Ticket Resale Update
Beginning with the 2023 season, SeatGeek will be the new secondary ticket partner of JMU Athletics. Tickets that will go unused can be listed, bought and sold on SeatGeek and are fully verified and delivered seamlessly. SeatGeek will assist fans in pricing tickets, issuing a notification when they have sold, transferring them and delivering a payout within 48 hours.

Fans will have full access to this opportunity via their JMUTickets.com account when their tickets are delivered. When tickets are available in fans' accounts, a notification email will be sent, as well as information on how to best utilize the new SeatGeek integration.

Further details on JMU Athletics' SeatGeek integration will be provided in the near future. Tickets are scheduled for delivery in August prior to the home opener on Sept. 2.
