Rice Athletics Promotes Vincent C. Armetta to Associate AD for Compliance

Vincent C. Armetta has been named Rice's new Associate AD for Compliance.
 
Vincent came to Rice in September of 2021 as the Assistant Director of Compliance and was promoted to Director of Compliance in January of 2023.  In this position as Associate AD for Compliance, he will manage and implement all aspects of compliance for an NCAA Division I institution ensuring all 16 Rice University Division I teams stay in compliance with NCAA, American Athletic Conference, and institution regulations.

Prior to joining Rice, Armetta spent one year as the Compliance and Governance Intern at the West Coast Conference. While at the WCC, he attended the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar in the spring of 2021. During the summer of 2019 he was the summer fellow at The Ivy League Office in Princeton, NJ.
 
Vincent earned his BA in Health and Society: Health Markets and Finance from the University of Pennsylvania in 2020 while also competing on Penn's Lightweight Rowing team. As a student-athlete at Penn he competed in multiple league and national championships in addition to The Henley Regatta in England. He was the President of Penn's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee from 2018-2020. After completing his undergraduate studies, Vincent continued his education at Penn in its Graduate School of Education. In spring 2021, he earned his Masters of Science in Education within its Higher Education program. During his time studying at Penn, Vincent spent much of his time studying the structure and workings of Collegiate Athletics.
