WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced Friday the relaunch of its Hornet Club.
The mission of the Hornet Club is to support the success of our student-athletes in competition and support the overall growth of Shenandoah Athletics through leadership opportunities, Title IX initiatives, and holistic development such as:
- Community Service Events
- Mentoring at local schools
- Community outreach games
- Leadership Opportunities
- Summits & Symposiums
- Black Student Athlete Summit
- Women in Sports Symposium
- Fundraising Campaigns
- Shenandoah Athletics Events
- The Buzzys
- Senior Banquet/Brunch
- Hall of Fame
Members will receive benefits through the different levels of membership that the Hornet Club offers. Membership levels and benefits can be found on the Hornet Club page located under the Inside Atheltics tab on our website or at
suhornets.com/HornetClub.
On August 6 from 3-6 p.m. the Hornet Club will host the Hornet Club Carnival at the Wilkins Athletic & Events Center for its first event since the relaunch.
This family friendly event will have games, food, drinks, cash bar, and prizes for all. Tickets can be found by clicking
here.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children (13 and under). Each ticket comes with unlimited access to games and each adult ticket includes one free drink ticket.
At the event hear from administration, coaches, and student-athletes while also learning more on what the Hornet Club has to offer.
