Legislators find $10 million in state budget to rescue cash-strapped NJCU

The financially distressed New Jersey City University will receive the $10 million in additional aid in the $54.3 billion state budget, a life rope that will pull the school out of its fiscal crisis, Hudson County legislators said Thursday ahead of the release of the full 2024 spending plan.
