Required qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Minimum of seven years of recent progressive professional work experience in an NCAA Division I compliance role;
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of NCAA rules, regulations, processes, interpretations, appeals and governance structure; demonstrated commitment to institutional control;
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational and administrative skills;  
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community;
  • Proficiency in commonly used technology such as the NCAA Apps, Teamworks, compliance/recruiting management software (e.g., ACS, JumpForward, Recruiting Radar) and Microsoft Office Suite. 

Desired qualifications: 

  • Juris Doctorate highly desired;
  • Three or more years of management/supervisory experience in a compliance-related position at either a Division I athletics compliance office, a related position at a Division I Conference and/or the NCAA;
  • Proven experience in working with high profile intercollegiate sports programs, especially Division I football and basketball;
  • Demonstrated familiarity with social media (web-based and mobile based technologies).
