Description

Responsible for assisting all facets of the Bonnies Athletic Fund, the annual fund of the St. Bonaventure Athletics Department, and The Bonaventure Fund, the annual fund of the university.
 

Examples of Duties




Help set annual goals, then determine methods for multi-channel approach to solicit and generate donations to achieve or exceed goals. Track progress and adapt as necessary within fiscal year.

Schedule annual calendar of solicitations for donations, for a coordinated approach to donors and appeals for the Bonaventure Fund & BAF20
Establish annual BAF goals for teams and support areas and set strategies to achieve goals. Collaborate with coaches and staff to ensure coordinated approach.20
Market and promote the mission and vision of the BAF to build its case for support. Build the BAF brand utilizing social medias, web sites, broadcasts, in-arena video and printed materials. 5
Coordinate stewardship of BAF donors including basketball parking and hospitality, benefits, communication, recognitions, and special events. 5
Collaborate with Ticket Office Manager to plan and execute Priority Seating Program for men’s basketball.5
Plan and execute an annual BAF Giving Day and assist with Bona Giving Day5
 
Supplemental Functions: 
Identify prospective major gift donors for the Assistant AD for Advancement, Director of Athletics, and Sr. Major Gifts Officer.
 
 

Typical Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required.

Relevant experience and demonstrated fundraising success, preferably in collegiate athletics, is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to balance priorities to accomplish assigned tasks within the required timeframe and to be able to shift quickly between several tasks without loss of continuity.
  • Solid conceptual, innovative and strategic thinking ability with the ability to define and articulate strategic vision of the university.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software; Microsoft Office; internet, social media and other business operations. Self-motivated to stay current with emerging technologies and recommend and implement improvements. 
  • Ability to work under pressure, time constraints and deadlines.
  • Handle highly confidential material, understanding that all University information should only be disclosed to others who have a need to know, for legitimate business or educational reasons. Have the ability to exercise and apply sound judgment and decision making skills as well as the ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality of data.

Working Conditions / Physical requirements
Physical strength/endurance to enable him/her to perform/participate in the following activities:
  • While performing required job tasks, physically able to remain seated, frequently to continuously.
  • While performing required job tasks, physically able to remain standing up to 15% of the time.
  • Possesses dexterity abilities required to perform typing, operate a computer and other office equipment, to perform filing, and related job responsibilities.
  • Possesses a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel both locally and regionally, if necessary.
