BANGOR, Maine — Husson University announced the hiring of Kent Clark, MD as its new men's and women's golf head coach on Wednesday.

"We are thrilled to have Kent take over the reins of our golf programs," said director of athletics Frank Pergolizzi. "He will make an outstanding contribution to both teams as we move forward into the coming year."

"I am thrilled to be selected as the new head coach for men and women's golf at Husson University," said Clark. "It was a privilege working with coach Mike Dugas this past Spring who has built a remarkably successful program over his nine-year tenure.  I'm thankful to Frank Pergolizzi, the entire interview committee and the University for having faith in my ability to lead this program and for affording me the opportunity to continue to work with this remarkable group of young student athletes; It's truly an honor."

Prior to Husson, Clark was a two-time NAIA All-American National Scholar Athlete at Willamette University where he was also a three-time NAIA Pacific Northwest District Champion and a four-time NAIA Pacific Northwest All-Conference selection.
