"Blair's leadership and coaching knowledge really stood out this spring," said Assistant Vice President for Athletics Brad Davis. "We asked a lot of him, and the results in and out of the pool were impressive. We look forward to Blair's passion and energy next fall as he brings stability to our water polo programs."

He helped the team to the DIII Collegiate Club Championship in 2010 with Macdougall playing a large role as he was named to the All-Tournament Second Team while also earning D III All-American Second Team honors.

"I am honored and excited for the opportunity to serve as the head coach for the men's and women's water polo teams at Mercyhurst University," said Macdougall.
