Steubenville, Ohio - It was a little over a year ago that Franciscan Athletics named Brittany Bain as the Interim Head Women's Lacrosse Coach. She became the second head coach in program history, as Maura Carapellotti helped start the program that had its first season in 2013. They joined the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) for the 2019 season, as Carpellotti led them to the postseason in each of the three seasons that they were eligible. Bain made it four for four, as she took the Barons back to the PAC semifinals once again in 2023. This June, the Franciscan Athletics Department removed the interim tag from Bain, as well as added some other responsibilities to her as well.

"We are very excited to have Brittany as a full-time coach within our department," said Assistant Athletic Director for GameDay and Marketing, Pete Rosaschi. "She has excelled here as a player and coach already, and I look forward to seeing her continued success."

As well as her coaching duties, Bain will oversee the Intramural and Club sports on campus as well as serve as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) advisor for the Athletic Department. She can be contacted at bbain@franciscan.edu
Bain is a 2019 graduate of Franciscan after a successful three-year career as a goalkeeper for the Lady Barons. She is still the program leader in saves (474) and wins (23). Most of her other goalie records have been broken by 2023 PAC Goalie of the Year Rose Kane, who has flourished under Bain's tutelage. Bain served as an Assistant Coach for three seasons under Coach Carapellotti, as she started her coaching career in the 2020 season.
