Taylor Teixeira Promoted to Associate Executive Director

The NEWMAC Presidents Council unanimously approved the promotion of Taylor Teixeira to Associate Executive Director effective July 1, 2023, as announced by Patrick B. Summers, Executive Director today.

“Since Taylor arrived at the NEWMAC in 2015, she has become an integral part of conference operations,” said Summers. “With increasing responsibilities throughout the years, Teixeira has elevated the conference’s strategic communications efforts and branding while also focusing on sports governance and championship experiences.”

Teixeira’s new responsibilities will include budgetary and process oversight of the NCAA Division III Grant Program, expanding officiating services, overseeing the newly appointed assistant director, further development of the NEWMAC Sports Network and assisting with new revenue generation and sponsorships.

Originally hired in July of 2015 as part of the NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women’s Internship Program, Taylor was promoted to Assistant Director in 2017 taking on a more comprehensive role in the conference operations. She was an integral part of the conference’s rebrand and logo redesign, a part of the NEWMAC adding the sport of football and the development of the conference’s newest five-year strategic plan. From April - July 2021, Teixeira was acting Executive Director during a critical time during the COVID Pandemic.

“I am thankful to have such a dedicated, loyal and hard working colleague collaborate with the membership and I as we implemented strategic focus to elevate the conference’s brand, better promote our student-athletes and enhance experiences. This promotion is well deserved and I’m glad the membership recognizes Taylor’s contribution and commitment to them and the NEWMAC,” continued Summers.

A 2013 graduate of Endicott College, Teixeira was a four-year varsity field hockey player and captain her junior and senior years. Taylor received her Masters of Education from Endicott in 2015.
