PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown University's Chancellor Samuel M. Mencoff '78 Vice President for Athletics and Recreation M. Grace Calhoun '92, Ph.D. has unveiled an Ethos for the Division. Illuminating what it means to be Ever True and the distinguishing character and guiding beliefs of Brown Athletics, the Division Ethos embodies what it means to represent Brown University.

"Our Ethos provides a clear depiction of how special it is to be a Brown Bear," said Calhoun. "We hope it speaks to the students and the student-athletes we attract, and serves as a reminder of our mission, vision, and values. As a proud Brown alumna, I hope it resonates as movingly with the rest of our Brown community as it does with me."

Along with the strategic plan (HERE) and refreshed brand identity (HERE) for Brown Athletics and Recreation, previously released under Calhoun's leadership, the Ethos will serve as a framework as the Division continues to move forward in a new and exciting direction, empowering growth and self-discovery, igniting passion, and transforming lives.
