Beverly Siercks Retires from William Jewell College

LIBERTY, Mo. - Assistant Athletics Director for Business Operations Beverly Siercks retires today (June 1) after 17 years of service at William Jewell College, including 11 within the Athletics Department. She also served as the Senior Woman Administrator, beginning in 2012, and was the sport supervisor for volleyball, softball and men's and women's swimming.

"Beverly has been a key part of this department and will be missed," said Director of Athletics Tom Eisenhauer, '06. "She always worked extremely hard and took care of a lot of important things – things most people didn't even know were happening – to keep the Department moving. I consider Beverly to be a good friend and wish her, Steve, and their whole family nothing but the best in retirement!"

Siercks joined the Jewell community in the summer of 2006, working in human resources and the business office before coming to the Athletics Department in 2012 to assist with the transition to NCAA Division II and has continued to oversee the financials and other business operations of the Department for more than a decade. She has played an integral part of the support of Cardinal student-athletes over the years, helping to organize transportation, budgets, friends and family fundraising, the Cardinal Golf Classic and serving on multiple hiring committees.

Assistant Athletics Director for Communication JaeLynn Ellison has been named as the new Senior Woman Administrator. "Beverly has been an incredible role model and mentor to me during my eight years at Jewell and has helped prepare me for this new role," she said. "I will miss seeing her every day but know how much she is looking forward to spending more time with her grandson and other family. I wish her and Steve all the best in this next chapter."
