GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines Athletics has received a $6.5 million donation to support scholarships and facilities improvements. It's one of the biggest gifts to athletics in the school's history. 

The funding includes $5 million for scholarships in Olympic sports, such as golf and volleyball, as well as $1.5 million for improvements at the track & field facility and to build a cross country training loop on campus.
