ACU Upgrades Bullington Practice Facility

ABILENE – Abilene Christian recently completed an important upgrade to the Wally Bullington Football Practice Field.
 
Replacing an area of sand, the new 70-yard field is marked for football and features an AstroTurf surface with Brock Shock Pad and BrockFill cooling infill.
 
The addition of the practice space has a myriad of benefits for the team, said ACU Head Coach Keith Patterson.
 
"Obviously for our program, it lets us spread people out safely and the aesthetics of it; it's a beautiful field," Patterson said. "Everything is about recruiting and when you can bring people here and see a practice facility like this, it's big time and as nice as you can get. It just elevates our program and were so thankful for the generous support of so many families to help us move this program forward."
 
The upgrade includes new LED lights.
 
The project was completed, start to finish, in eight weeks by Symmetry Sports Construction.
 
Primarily for football, the field also is being used for strength and conditioning activities across all ACU sports.
