Advance and Game Plan Announce Strategic Partnership to Educate Collegiate and Professional Athletes

Advance and Game Plan are excited to announce their partnership, combining Advance’s industry-leading content with Game Plan’s athlete development software to bring transformational education to their partners.

“As athlete development is more important now than ever, we are excited to partner with Game Plan to offer college and professional athletes real-world practical life skills education to help them effectively navigate the business of sports happening around them.”
Managing Partner, Luke Fedlam

Through this partnership, both Advance and Game Plan partner organizations will have access to interactive learning modules covering topics such as Name, Image and Likeness Protective Education, Networking, Brand Protection, Financial Literacy, Elite Athlete Education and more.

“Courtney and Luke have built a special business founded with the trust their partners have in Advance’s uniquely qualified expertise. We all share a mission to help guide student-athletes through their journey. We are fortunate to work with such good people,” said Vin McCaffrey, CEO at Game Plan.

Learning courses are uniquely built for athletes and follow similar learning paths as Advance’s in-person NIL workshops, which have been facilitated with 16 NFL clubs and over 25,000 athletes at over 40 college athletic departments. The library of eLearning content will be available in standard and premium subscriptions on the Game Plan platform for both Advance and Game Plan partners starting on May 1, 2023.

“The magic of Advance is their people. They are simply fantastic and anyone who has worked with them will attest to that,” said Ted White, Game Plan Vice President of Collegiate Partnerships. “More than ever, student-athletes, and those who serve them, need good people with great content. Advance delivers on both counts.”

As the collegiate landscape is rapidly changing, this partnership seeks to address one of the most vital aspects of improving the student-athlete experience and outcomes – unbiased and thorough education.

In the professional space, Advance and Game Plan will collaborate on content that seeks to reinforce the in-person workshops focusing on athlete professional development. Such topics include Decision-Making, Networking, Maximizing the Opportunity, an entire Athlete CEO Series and more.

“The athlete empowerment movement is at an all-time high,” said Courtney Altemus, Managing Partner at Advance. “Therefore, timely and impactful education is critical to protect athletes as they navigate the business of their lives.”

To further introduce the partnership and content offerings to athletic administrators and staff, Advance, and Game Plan are hosting a joint webinar on Tuesday, May 16th at 12 EST To learn more and sign up please visit:
