Bolivar, Mo. – Head Women's basketball coach Kelsey Keizer announces her resignation at the helm of the women's basketball program after nine years, serving as part of the staff for the past 12. Keizer has accepted a coaching position at Division I program Pepperdine University.

Over the past nine seasons leading the program Keizer has accrued 115 wins, including three straight winning seasons in 2016, 2017, and 2018. She led the program to four conference tournament appearances including two victories across those appearances. In 2016-17, she led the Bearcats an upset victory over Washburn to advance to Kansas City and play in the Municipal Auditorium. In 2021-22, she defeated University of Indianapolis to give SBU their first ever GLVC tournament victory.
 
Across her tenure as head coach of the Bearcats Keizer has coached numerous All-Conference athletes. In the MIAA, her athletes earned five MIAA honorable mentions, one as an MIAA 2^nd team, and one as an MIAA defensive team. Megan Rosenbaum earned All-MIAA 1^st team. Three years prior, her teammate Caylee Richardson earned MIAA Freshman of the year and was named to the NCAA All-Freshman team. Coach Keizer also had many MIAA academic honor rolls.Keizer had continued athlete success after joining the GLVC with three All-GLVC 3^rd team awards, two All-GLVC 2^nd team awards, and an All-GLVC freshman team in Kelsey Blakemore.
