Kansas City, MO – Small College Basketball is proud to announce the teams and matchups for the 2025 Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic. The 2025 HOF Classic will once again bring together some of the most competitive teams from NCAA Division II. In 2025, the event returns to Lakeland, FL and the Jenkins Fieldhouse on the campus of Florida Southern College. This year’s event will take place on Saturday November 1st and Sunday November 2nd and SCB will once again partner with Polk County Tourism and Sports Marketing and Visit Central Florida. John McCarthy had this to say about the 2025 Hall of Fame Classic:
"The 2025 Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic is going to be fantastic,” stated McCarthy. “We have some of the top teams, and some of the top players, in all of NCAA Division II that will be participating. The field has seven first-time participants and represents nine states and eight different conferences. We are very grateful to the D2 Conference Commissioners Association, Visit Central Florida Sports and Florida Southern College for their tremendous support of the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic, which has become the most prestigious in-season event in NCAA Division II basketball."
2025 marks the fourth straight year that the event will feature 10 teams. The Hall of Fame Classic started in 2016 in Evansville, IN. The HOF Classic would then move to St. Joseph, MO, before heading to Lakeland, FL in 2022. During the COVID year of 2020 the event did not take place.
The HOF Classic is one of the most prominent events in NCAA Division II men’s basketball. Once again this year, there will be five games on Saturday, followed by five games on Sunday. Below are the teams and matchups for this year’s event. For more information on the Hall of Fame Classic and Small College basketball, please head to smallcollegebasketball.com.
