Lander Athletics Announces Change in Leadership of Cross Country and Track and Field Programs

GREENWOOD - Athletics Director Brian Reese announced today that Kevin Scola will not continue as head coach of the Lander Track and Field and Cross Country teams.

Scola helped resurrect the Bearcat Cross Country programs in 2017 that had been dormant for over a decade. Then, in the spring of 2022, Scola was tabbed to lead the inaugural track and field teams for Lander.

Statement from Athletic Director Brian Reese: "I would like to thank Kevin for his service and commitment to Lander Athletics in bringing back the cross country programs and starting our track and field programs. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."

Lander will start a search immediately for the program's next head coach.
