Live now in patron accounts at sfatickets.com, for the first time, PLF donors and season ticket holders are able to take advantage of an integrated ticketing and fundraising platform powered by Paciolan.  PacFund enables Lumberjack and Ladyjack supporters to purchase tickets and give donations online simultaneously, while providing SFA Athletics with a holistic view of its supporters in order to offer unique and personalized communications.

To reward all donors, season ticket holders, letterman and current students SFA Athletics is launching two Priority Points systems on June 1, 2023.  The Purple Lights Fund (PLF) Priority Points system will be directed at donors, season ticket holders and letterman.  While the Purple Haze Association (PHA) Priority Points system will be designed to reward students with priority points for every scan of their student id at athletic events. These new programs provide a simplified process to determine priority for season tickets upgrades, parking, premium experiences, in-season team travel opportunities, postseason games and other high-demand events.

"We are excited to launch these new initiatives to better serve our fantastic supporters," Director of Athletics Ryan Ivey shared.  "PacFund will provide real-time data and information as it relates to ticketing and development initiatives which will allow more effective and efficient communication.  As we continue towards our vision of becoming the leading mid-major athletics department in the nation, enhancing and improving our consumer processes is a critical component in developing our fan base and enhancing our revenue streams."

The 2023 Lumberjack Football season ticket renewal process will be the first opportunity for fans to earn priority points related to season ticket purchases, followed by Soccer and Volleyball. Points totals for the PLF Priority Points system are based on season ticket history, seat-related contributions and philanthropic gifts. Renewed Purple Lights Fund members earn priority points based on past contributions dating back to 1986, the first year athletic specific giving was recorded.

Points totals for the PHA Priority Points system are based on scanned attendance at athletic events.  Students will be able to earn double points by staying until the end of the game and getting scanned as they exit the student section.

"The PLF priority point system will allow us to effectively reward our most loyal supporters.  This system will provide accurate and rewarding experiences and opportunities for everyone," Ivey continued.  "As we developed this program, it was critical that we respected and honored as much of our past as we possibly could.  The PLF priority point system will allow us to engage our students on up to our most loyal and supportive donors and season ticket holders.  We are excited and looking forward to launching this fall."

PLF Priority Points are awarded as follows:
  • 5 points per $100 contribution for unrestricted gifts directed into the Purple Lights Fund General Fund or for contributions to Athletic Endowments;
  • 2 points per $100 contribution for sport specific Victory Fund contributions;
  • 5 points per consecutive years giving
  • 2 points per $100 for lifetime giving
  • 5 points per $100 spent on season tickets
  • SFA Athletics letterwinners receive a one-time bonus of 50 points added to their accounts upon graduation.
PHA Priority Points are awarded as follows:
  • 1 point for entry scan to gain entry at athletic events
  • 1 point for exit scan at the end of athletic events as they leave the student section

Fans can view their Priority Points status and determine where their next donation will place them in the rankings using the point calculator system available through their PacFund account found at sfatickets.com. Account holders can also contact the SFA Athletics Ticket & Development Office to discuss their priority points.

More information on the Priority Points system is available at The Purple Lights Fund website located at purplelightsfund.org. Season ticket and PLF renewals for the 2023 Drive Year are live now.

FAQ

Will Priority Points impact my current seat location?

Priority Points will not impact your current seat location. They will however provide you with your priority order that determines your ranking if you choose to upgrade your seats.

Do new season ticket orders receive Priority Points?

Yes. Priority Points are awarded following the standard guidelines for season ticket purchases, seat-related contributions and philanthropic gifts.

How will Priority Points be applied to parking, premium seating upgrades, post-season tickets, etc.?

Priority Point rank will determine the order in which season ticket members select or are assigned locations for parking, premium seat upgrades, post-season tickets, etc

How can I increase my point total to improve my ranking?

All contributions and season ticket purchases increase your point total, but the quickest way to increase your total and associated ranking is to make an unrestricted gift to the Purple Lights Fund. Those gifts earn points at a rate of 5 points per $100.

Why is SFA Athletics going to a point system?

This is a fair and transparent system to process upgrade requests and determine allocation order for high demand events. Based on feedback from our fans, we are rewarding lifetime donation and season ticket history going back to 1986.

Why does my "lifetime" giving only go back to 1986?

1986 is when SFA Athletics began accepting donations directed specifically to the athletic department and when athletics-specific giving was recorded.

Do gifts to other areas of the university count for Priority Points?  No, only gifts to SFA Athletics earn priority points.

How will the 50 points for letterwinners be applied?
