Bryton Curtis Named MAC Associate Executive Director

Curtis will lead the conference’s championship and sport administration

ANNVILLE, Pa. (Conference News) –, Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Executive Director Megan Morrison has announced the appointment of Bryton Curtis as the next Associate Executive Director for Championships and Sport Administration with the MAC.

“I am thrilled to welcome Bryton to the MAC,” said Morrison. “His experience will serve him well as he engages with the 40 championship events across the MAC’s 27 sports. I am confident he will make an immediate impact on our championship events and sport administration processes.”

Curtis will begin his role on April 25. He will coordinate the conference’s 40 championships and support the administration of its 27 sports. Curtis will also oversee the MAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and lead the conference in developing new conference-wide initiatives.

“I am very excited to be part of the Middle Atlantic Conference and to be leading the coordination efforts of the conference’s 40 championship event,” said Curtis. “I look forward to ingraining myself with all the MAC institutions, athletic department leadership and the student-athletes. The MAC is a very strong conference, and my goal is to continue building upon that.”

Curtis comes to the MAC with more than six years of experience in collegiate athletics in both championships/events and facilities. As the Championship Events Manager with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Curtis was responsible for organizing and supervising the NAIA’s men’s soccer, men’s & women’s swimming and diving, men’s golf and Division I men’s basketball national championships. In total during his time at the NAIA (2016-19), Curtis successfully organized and managed 13 national championships.

Prior to his time at the NAIA, Curtis worked at NCAA Division I Saint Louis University as its Athletics Events & Facilities Manager. Curtis oversaw all home events for Saint Louis’ 18 varsity programs as it pertained to game management, facilities management and event marketing operations and game day promotions.
 
Curtis graduated from Fontbonne University in 2013 where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Communications. He was a team captain on both the men’s basketball and tennis teams. He earned his Master of Science in Sport Management from Baker University in 2018.
